a diagonal divide a rectangle in two right angle triangles..
so, by Pythagoras theorem,
 {h}^{2}  =  {p}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}
 {h}^{2}  \:  =  {35}^{2}  +  {12}^{2}
 {h}^{2}  = 1225 + 144
 {h}^{2}  = 1369
h = 37cm

Answer:

Diagonal of rectangle is 37 cm.

Step-by-step-explanation:

The diagonal of rectangle is like a hypotenuse.

So, by Pythagors Theorem

(Hypotenuse)² = (Length)² + (Breadth)²

=> (Diagonal)² = (35)² + (12)²

=> (Diagonal)² = 1225 + 144

=> (Diagonal)² = 1369

=> Diagonal = 37 cm

Hence,

Diagonal of rectangle is 37 cm.
