Answer: 51.9998599998cm (approximately)

Step-by-step explanation:

Here’s it:

First let’s find the area of the two circles

1st one) D=20cm

             A= pie*R*R

               = 22/7 * 20/2 * 20/2

               =8800/28

               =314.28 (approximately)

2nd one) D=48cm

               A= pie*R*R

                 = 22/7*48/2*48/2

                 = 1810.28 ( approximately)

Now we get an equation....

22/7*R*R = 314.28 + 1810.28

               =2124.56

22*R*R = 2124.56*7

            = 14871.92

R*R= 14871.92/22

      =675.99636

R = square root of 675.99636

   =  25.9999299999

So if the radius= 25.9999299999     Then the diameter will be twice 25.9999299999

Which is 25.9999299999*2

              =51.9998599998cm (approximately)
