find distance (3,5) from the origin

From origin : (0 ,0)

Distance formula :

 \sqrt{( {x2 - x1)}^{2} +  {(y2 - y1)}^{2}  }  \\  \\  \sqrt{ {(0 - 3)}^{2}  +  {(0 - 5)}^{2} }  \\  \\   \sqrt{9 + 25}  \\  \\  \sqrt{34}

Origin is (0,0) and the given point (3,5)

So applying distance formula, we get
 \sqrt{(0 - 3) {}^{2} + (0 - 5) {}^{2} }  \\  =  \sqrt{( - 3) {}^{2} + ( - 5) {}^{2}  }  \\  =  \sqrt{9 + 25}  \\  =  \sqrt{34}
