Applying distance formula,

⇒ PQ² = (5 - (-3))²+ (3 - 7)²

⇒ PQ² = (5 + 3)² + (-4)²

⇒ PQ² = (8)² + 16

⇒ PQ² = 64 + 16

⇒ PQ² = 80

⇒ PQ = √80

⇒ PQ = √16 × √5
