First we should define the function in interval.

Since there is square root,

9−x2>=0  

(3+x)(3−x)>=0  

(3+x)(x−3)<=0  

Therefore x is defined over [-3,3]

This is the domain of function.

For range,

Y2=9−x2  

X2=9−y2  

Since x is only real

Discreminant of  9−y2is>=0  

Now do the math and get the range.
