Differentiation of implicit function :

2x+3y = sinx

differentiating with to x

=2 + 3dy/dx = cosx { dy/dx(cosx) =1

=3dy/dx = cosx-2

=dy/dx = (cosx-2)/3

Therefore 1st option is the right answer...

ANSWER :

dy/dx = [cos(x) - 2]/3

EXPLANATION :

GIVEN :

A function 2x + 3y= sin(x).

TO FIND :

dy/dx

SOLUTION :

According to the question –

=> 2x + 3y= sin(x)

Differentiate with respect to 'x' –

=> 2 + 3 (dy/dx) = cos(x)

=> 3 (dy/dx) = cos(x) - 2

=> dy/dx = [cos(x) - 2]/3

Hence , first option is correct.

USED FORMULA :

(1) d[sin(x)]/dx = cos(x)
