Answer:
dy/dx = -2(x² + 3x + 5) / (x²-5)²
Explanation:
dy/DX = [(x²-5)×d/dx (2x+3)] - [2x+3×d/dx(x²-5)] / (x²-5)² ------(apply u/v rule)
dy/dx = (x²-5)(2) - (2x+3)(2x) / (x²-5)² --- (derivative of 2x + 3 is 2(1) + 3 which is 2 and x² - 5 is 2x - 0 which is 2x)
dy/dx = (2x²-10) - (4x² + 6x) / (x²-5)² ----- (multiplication into brackets)
dy/dx = 2x² - 10 - 4x² - 6x / (x²-5)² ----- (opening of the brackets which changed the sign of the 4x² + 6x to 4x² - 6x as - and + is - )
dy/dx = -2x² - 6x -10 / (x²-5)² --- (taking like terms together and did addition and subtraction according to the sign of the like terms)
dy/dx = -2(x² + 3x + 5) / (x²-5)² --- ( taken -2 as commen in the numerator)
