parallel resistance = 20×20/40 = 400/40 = 10 ohm
and now series
10 + 10 ohm = 20 ohm ..
total resistance will be 20 ohm ..

Here, R1 and R2 are connected in parallel
So, equivalent resistance of these R1 and R2 will be 1/(1/R1 + 1/R2) = 1/(1/20+1/20) = 1/(1/10) = 10 ohm
Now, equivalent resistance of R1 and R2 is connect in series with R3.
So, equivalent resistance of circuit = 10 + 10 = 20 ohm
