Solution :-

Please refer the attachment first

R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are connected in series with each other

Equivalent resistance when n no of resistors are connected in series

➜ R s = R 1 + R2 .... + Rn

➜ R s = 1 + 1 + 2

➜ R s = 4 Ω

Rs is in parallel with R 4

Equivalent resistance for resistors connected in parallel is given by ,

➜ 1 / Rp = 1 / R 1 + 1 / R 2 ... + 1 / Rp

Hence ,

➜ 1 / Rp = 1 / Rs + 1 / R 4

➜ 1 / Rp = 1 / 4 + 1 / 4

➜ 1 / Rp = 2 / 4

➜ Rp = 2 Ω

Now ,

Rp , R 5 and R 6 are connected in series combination ,

➜ Rs' = Rp + R5 + R6

➜ Rs' = 2 + 1 + 2

➜ Rs ' = 5 Ω

The equivalent resistance of the combination is 5 Ω
