Answer:

let the 10 ohm resistance be r1

let 2 ohm and 6 ohm resistance be R2, they are In parallel

so 1/R2 = 1/2+1/6=2/3

R2 = 3/2

let r3 = 4ohm and 2 ohm

they are in parallel so

1/r3 = 1/4+1/2

r3= 4/3

now the R2 and r3 are in series and r1 is parallel to them

so R2 +r3= 3/2+4/3

R2+r3 = 17/6

now ,

1/ R total = 1/r1 + 1/R2 + r3

1/ R total = 1/10+ 6/17

1/ R total= 77/170

R total= 170/ 77
