Answer:

x=1,-1,2

Step-by-step explanation:

x³-2x²-x+2 can also be written as

x³-x-2x²+2

x(x²-1)-2(x²-1)  {taking x and 2 common}

(x²-1)(x-2)=0

x=1,-1,2

hope it helps!!!

here substitute x=1 we get

1-2-1+2 = 0

therefore 1 is a root of the given equation...

now,

by dividing the equation with (X-1) we get

x^2 - 2x -2

=x = -b+rootb^2 -4ac/2a

x= -1+root3 and -1-root3
