since DE||BC

angle DAB =angle ABC [ alternate interior angles]

therefore y=55°

since AC=BC

angle CBA= angle CAB [angles opposite to equal

sides of a triangle are

equal]

so, angle CAB =y

so in ∆ACB

x+y+y=180°

x+55°+55°=180°

x=70°

therefore [x=70°] [y=55°]
