Heya ☺

Let x = 1 and y = 2

y > x ; n = 5

d = y-x/n+1

= 2-1/5+1

= 1/6

1st rational number = x + 1/6

= 1 + 1/6

= 6+1/6

= 7/6

2nd rational number = x + 2d

= 1 + 2 × 1/6

= 1 + 1/3

= 3+1/3

= 4/3

3rd rational number = x + 3d

= 1 + 3 × 1/6

= 1 + 1/2

= 2+1/2

= 3/2

4th rational number = x + 4d

= 1 + 4 × 1/6

= 1 + 2/3

= 3+2/3

= 5/3

5th rational number = x + 5d

= 1 + 5 × 1/6

= 1 + 5/6

= 6+5/6

= 11/6

Five rational numbers between 1 and 2 are 7/6 ; 4/3 ; 3/2 ; 5/3 ; 11/6.

Thanks

first =  (1+2)/2 =3/2

second  =(3/2 +2 )/2 = [(3+4)/2]/2 =[7/2]/2 = 7/4

third = (3/2 +1)/2 = [(3+2)/2]/2 = (5/2)/2 = 5/4

fourth = (3/2+7/4)/2 = [(6+7)/4]/2 = (13/4)/2 = 13/8

fifth = (13/8+5/4)/2 =[(13+10)/8]/2 =(23/8)/2 = 23/16

i hope this will help you
