• Now finding the LCM,

LCM of 5 and 2 :

LCM = 5 × 2

       = 10

• Making the denominators same.

$\sf \dfrac{-2}{5 } = \dfrac{-2 \times 2}{5 \times 2}$

      $\sf = \dfrac{-4}{10}$

$\sf \dfrac{1}{2} = \dfrac{1 \times 5}{2 \times 5}$

   $\sf = \dfrac{ 5}{10}$
