Find five rational numbers between

3 & 9

2      7

Step 1 → Take out the LCM

LCM of 2 & 7 is 14

Step 2 → Make denominators same

3 X 7 = 21

2  X 7 =  14

9 X 2 = 18

7  X 2 =  14

There are only 2 rational numbers between

3 ( 21 ) & 9 ( 18 ) which are

2  (  14  )     7   (  14  )

20 > 19

14       14

Step 3 → Take a bigger LCM to make bigger denominator

Let the LCM be 42

21 X 3 = 63

14  X 3 =  42

18 X 3 = 54

14  X 3 =  42

The five rational numbers between

3 ( 63 ) & 9 ( 54 ) are

2  (  42  )     7   (  42  )

62 > 61 > 60 > 59 > 58

42      42      42      42      42
