Solution :-

we know that,

  • Rational number between a and b is = (a + b)/2 .

so,

→ First rational number = (-5/7 + 5/7)/2 = 0/2 = 0

{ 0 is a rational number } .

now,

→ Second rational number between (-5/7) and 0 = (-5/7 + 0)/2 = (-5/7) * (1/2) = (-5/14)

and,

→ Third rational number between 0 and (5/7) = (5/7 + 0)/2 = (5/7) * (1/2) = (5/14)

and,

→ Fourth rational number between (-5/14) and 0 = (-5/14 + 0)/2 = (-5/14) * (1/2) = (-5/28)

and,

→ Fifth rational number between 0 and (5/14) = (5/14 + 0)/2 = (5/14) * (1/2) = (5/28)

EVALUATION

Here the given numbers are \displaystyle\sf{-  \frac{5}{7}  \:  \: and \:  \:  \frac{5}{7} }

We first make them the fractions with same denominators

Here already both fractions are with same denominators

Now the numerators are - 5 & 5

Now we find five real numbers between the two numerators

- 5 < - 4 < - 3 < - 2 < - 1 < 0 < 1 < 2 < 3 < 4 < 5

We take five real numbers between - 5 & 5 as - 3 , - 2 , - 1 , 0 , 1
