Let the four consecutive even numbers are x, x + 2, x + 4, x + 6
According to question :-
=> x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 = 68
=> 4x = 56
=> x = 14
Hence, the required numbers are 14, 16, 18, 20.

Solution:
Let x is a even number then next 3 consecutive even numbers are
x+2, x+4, x+6 [ ∵ difference between 2 consecutive numbers is 2 ]
Then the required 4 even numbers are
x, x+2, x+4 and x+6
Sum of the 4 numbers = x + x+2 + x+4 + x+6 = 4x + 12
From given data sum of 4 numbers = 68
⇒ 4x + 12 = 68
⇒ 4x = 56
⇒ x = 14
The 4 consecutive even numbers are
x+2 = 14+2 = 16
x+4 = 14+4 = 18
x+6 = 14+6 = 20
The 4 consecutive even numbers are 14, 16, 18 and 20
