Find four rational numbers between 2/5 and 3/7.

2 / 5 and 3 / 7

LCM = 35

14 / 35 and 15 / 35

Multiply both the fractions with 10 on denominator and neumarator

140 / 350 and 150 / 350

Four rational numbers = 141 / 350 , 142 / 250 , 143 / 350 , 144/ 350

( took the denominators equal and made them equivalent to get a larger number )

Hi ,

i ) 2/5 = (2×7)/(5×7) = 14/35=(14×5)/(35×5)

= 70/175

ii ) 3/7 = (3×5)/(7×5) = 15/35 =(15×5)/(35×5)

= 75/175

Therefore ,

Required four are 71/175, 72/175,

73/175, 74/175
