To plot the graph, take at least three to four values of variables so that you get a correct line.

Firstly, to draw the graph for x = 4y, take 4 points as

x = 0, then y = 0

x = 1, y = 1/4

x = 2, y = 1/2

x = -1, y = -1/4

Now plot these points on the graph.

For, equation 2x + y = 7, plot points

x = 1 , y = 5

x = 2, y = 3

x = 2, y = 3

x = 3, y = 1

Now, plot these points on the graph.

You can see from the graph that the two equations intersect at only one point, that is x = 28/9, y = 7/9.

This is the only solution of these equations.

Note that four solutions are not possible in these two equations as both the equations have different slopes. When two equations have unique slopes, then they have unique solutions.

hence, the answer is x = 28/9, y = 7/9.
