Given ratio : $32: 12 ::8 : x$

Solution :

• As we can see that in the given ratio of proportion forth ratio is missing.
• Let , fourth proportional be $x$ .

• To find forth ratio we can write  as, $\frac{32}{12}=\frac{8}{x}$

• Transposing like terms we get,

     $\Rightarrow \quad x=\frac{8 \times 12}{32}$

• On simplifying we get,

     $\begin{array}{l}\Rightarrow x= 1 \times 3 \\\Rightarrow x=3\end{array}$  

Hence, value of $x$ i.e. fourth proportional is $3$ .
