$\frac{1}{ \sqrt{x + 1} } = \frac{1}{ \sqrt{x + 1} } \times \frac{ \sqrt{x + 1} }{ \sqrt{x + 1} }$

$= \frac{ \sqrt{x + 1} }{{ \sqrt{x + 1} }^{2} }$

$= \frac{ \sqrt{x + 1} }{x + 1}$
