Answer: x=0

Step-by-step explanation:

given that

cos x -sin x = 1

by squaring both the side

⇒(cos x -sin x)²=1

⇒cos²x +sin²x -2 sin x. cos x = 1

⇒1- 2 sin x. cos x = 1              (∵sin²x + cos²x =1)

⇒2sin x.cos x=0

⇒sin 2x = 0                               (∵sin 2a =2 sina. cos a)

⇒sin 2x = sin 0°

by comparing

⇒  2x = 0

⇒x=0

this equation has a solution x =0
