no. of moles = 142/35.5= 4

no. of atoms= 4×6.023×10^23

=24.09×19^23

=2.409×10^24

where , 35.5 is the atomic mass of the chlorine

Molar mass is the mass of one mole of a substance.

The molar mass of chlorine gas (Cl2):

2×35.5 g Cl/mol Cl = 71.0 g Cl2/mol Cl2.

The mass of 2 moles of Cl2:

2 mol Cl2 × 71.0 g Cl2/mol Cl2 = 142 g Cl2.
