Step-by-step explanation:

We Have :-

398 ,436,and 542

To Find :-

Greatest number which divides 398 ,436,and 542 leaving remainder 7, 11, 15

Solution :-

Let the number be x

When 398 is divided by x

Remainder is 7

So 398 - 7 = 391

391 is divisible by x

When 436 is divided by x

Remainder is 11

So 436 - 11 = 425

425 is divisible by x

When 542 is divided by x

Remainder is 15

So 542 - 15 = 527

527 is divisible by x

Now we need to find the HCF of these numbers :-

HCF ( 391 , 425 , 527 )

17

x = 17

So the Largest Number which divides 398 , 436 and 542 and leaves the remainder 7 , 11 , 15 is 17
