So,
LCM of 24,36
 =  > 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \\  =  > 72
Now,
HCF of :-
 =  > 24 = 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \\  =  > 36 = 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3
So,
Common factor =2,2 and 3
Higher common factor=12
