To Find :-

  • HCF of (7/9), (14/15) and (7/10). ?

Concept :-

  • HCF of Fractions is = (HCF of All Numerators) / (LCM of Denominators).

Solution :-

HCF of Numerators :-

→ 7 = 7 * 1

→ 14 = 7*2

→ 7 = 7*1

HCF = 7.

And, LCM of Denominators :-

→ 9 = 3 * 3

→ 15 = 3 * 5

→ 10 = 2 * 5

LCM = 2*3*3*5 = 90 .

So,

HCF of (7/9), (14/15) and (7/10) = (7/90) (Ans).

Extra :-

To find LCM and HCF of (a/b) and (c/d) the generalized formula will be:

H.C.F = (H.C.F of numerators) / (L.C.M of denominators).

L.C.M = (L.C.M of numerators) / (H.C.F of denominators.)

→ Product of two numbers = Product of their H.C.F. and L.C.M.

→ Two numbers are said to be co primes if their H.C.F is 1 ..

GIVEN:

Find the HCF of

 \frac{7}{9}  \:  \frac{14}{15}  \:  \frac{7}{10}

HCF means highest common factor

so

 \sf \red{7 = 1 ,7}

 \sf \red{14 = 1,2,7,14}

 \sf \red{17 = 1,17}

or

 \sf \red{7 = 1 \times 7}

 \sf \red{14 = 2 \times 7}

 \sf \red{1 \times 17}

HCF = 7

now LCM,

9= 3×3

15=3×5

10 = 2×5

LCM = 90

so Answer is 7/90
