hey here's the answer to your question....
First method:- We draw a row just like the one in the picture attached and we take an example of any two numbers. The two numbers are 45 and 60.
Second step:- Now we'll use the method “Division by Common factors .” We'll use such a number which will divide both numbers together. We'll see to the number 2. Does this divide both the numbers together? The answer is no as 45 is not divisible by 2 but 60 is. So we'll not use 2. We'll see to the number 3. This number divides both the numbers 45 and 60 together so we'll use three. See to the second picture.
Third step:- We get the numbers 15 and 20 which are both divisible together by the number 5. So we'll use the number 5. See to the third picture.
Fourth step:- The numbers left now are 3 and 4 which are not divisible together by any number so we leave it and focus on our answer.
Fifth step:- Our last step is that we'll multiply the two numbers 3 and 5 which will result in getting the answer 15. So it means that the hcf of 45 and 60 is 15. See to the fourth picture.
