Answer:-

200 litres

Given:-

Dimensions of the cuboidal fish tank :

length = l = 1 m = 100 cm

breadth = b = 40 cm

height = h = 50 cm

Solution:-

Volume of the tank ( V ) = lbh

=> V = 100 cm × 40cm × 50 cm

=> V = 200000 cm³

=> V = 200000 × 1/1000 litres

V = 200 litres

Therefore ,

Capacity of the water tank = 200 litres

I hope this helps you. !!

To find the capacity of the tank.

Volume of tank =length×breath×height

Volume =40×60×50

=120000cm³

⇒convert cm³ into ml

We get,

⇒120000cm³

=120000ml

⇒convert mlto l

We get,

120000ml=120l

Amount of water needed 120−50=70 liter

Hence,

70 liter of water is needed to fill the tank.
