Find:

i) The height of a triangle whose base is 17 m and area is 340m2.

ii) The base and the height of the parallelogram if, base of a parallelogram is thrice its height & its area is 192cm2.​

Answer:

1.. 1/2×b×h

= 1/2×17×h = 340m

= 8.5×h = 340m

= h = 340/8.5 = 40m

2.. b×h

= 3x×x = 192

= 3x^2 = 192

= x^2 = 192/3

= x^2 = 64

= √x^2 = √64

= x = 8

so, b = 3x = 3×8 = 24
