g(x) = (-2x -5) =0

= -2x. = 5

= x = -5/2

p(x) = 3x^4 + 5x³ -2x² -4

as we know if g(x) is a factor of p(x) then by putting the value of g(x) in p(x) the remainder will be zero. so,

p(-5/2) = 3(-5/2)^4 + 5(-5/2)³ - 2(-5/2)² -4

= 1875/16 - 1875/8 - 50/4 - 4

= 1875/16 - 1875/8 -25/2 - 4

= (1875- 3750 - 200 - 64)/16

= -2149/16

no, its not the factor of p(x) sa its reaminder is not 0
