this line is taken from the the poem polonius advice to his son . this poem is taken from the popularly read book Hamlet written by William Shakespeare . polonius speaks to his son laertes. so while he is going his father gives him his blessings and some principles. in this principles his father says neither be a borrower or lender .because lending leads to loss of friendship and borrowing leads to loss of our dignity in front of other.
