F 1 = K q ² / a²

F 2 = K q ² / a²

F 1 = F 2 = F

As F 1 and F 2 forces are acting at right angles the resultant force will be

F net

= √F 1 ² + F 2 ²+2 F 1 F 2 cos x

As F 1 = F 2 = F and cos 90=0

= √F²+F²

=√2F

F 3 = K q²/ (a√2)²=K q²/2a²

Net force acting on C

= F 3 + F net

= K q²/2a² + √ 2 K q² /a ²
