Hiii.....friend,

Here is ur answer,

 =  >  {x}^{2}  - kx - 16 = 0

Given that -2 is one solution.

 =  >   ( { - 2)}^{2}  - k( - 2) - 16 = 0

=> 4 +2k -16 = 0

=> 2k = 12

=> k = 6.

So, The equation is ,

 =  >  {x}^{2}  - 6x - 16 = 0

 =  >  {x}^{2}   - 8x + 2x - 16 = 0

 =  >  x(x - 8) + 2(x - 8) = 0

 =  > (x - 8)(x + 2) = 0

=> x = -2 or 8

So, The other solution is 8.

:-) Hope it helps u.
