Step-by-step explanation:

first keep them in standard form

2x+ky-1=0

3x-5y-7=0

where

a1=2. a2=3

b1=k. b2=-5

c1=-1. c2=-7

a1/a2=2/3

b1/b2=k/-5

a1/a2is not equals to b1/b2 so it is a unique solution.

a)for unique solution

2/3 =\= k/-5 =\= -1/-7

k =\= - 5/7 or -10/3

b) for no solution

2/3 = k/-5 =\= -1/-7

so k= -10/3

k =\= -5/7

You can verify your answers as well. just put in the corresponding values of k.

Jesus christ, that took a lot of time to type, but I hope it helps :)
