Hi friend,

Given polynomial,

p(x)=x²-kx-6

(x-2) is a factor of the given polynomial.

x-2=0

x=2

Put x=2 to find k,

p(2)=2²-k(2)-6=0

4-2k-6=0

-2k-2=0

-2k=2

k=2/-2

k=-1

Therefore,k= -1

Hope it helps

mickeyy09: thank you sooooo much!
