Answer:

According to the Remainder theorem, when a polynomial p(x) is divided by (x−a), then the remainder is the value of p(x) at x=a

Here p(x)=3x 2+kx+6

When it is divided by its factor (x+3),

Remainder is =p(−3)=0

3(−3) 2+(−3)k+6=0

27−3k+6=0

33−3k=0

3k=33

k=11
