Hi friend here is ur answer..

f(x)=x²-2x+k. where x-1=0 x=1
f(x)=1²-2(1)+k. and f(x) be 0
0=1-2+k
0=-1+k
-1+k=0
k=0+1
k=1

Using Reminder theorem,

x = 1 
__________________

x^2 -2x + k

1^2 -(2*1) + k  = 0

1 - 2  + k = 0

-1 + k = 0 

  k = 1 
________________
