2x-1=0

x=1/2

6xsquare+kx-2=0

6(1/4)+k(1/2)-2=0

(3/2)+(k/2)-(4/2)=0

3+k-4=0

k=1

Heya mate, Here is ur answer

For any number to be a factor, it gives remainder as 0 .

so,

x-1 = 0

x=1

x^2 -2x +k = 0

Taking x=1

1^2 -2×1 +k = 0

1 -2 + k = 0

-1 +k=0

k= 0+1

k=1 .
