Methods of finding the L. C. M.:

There are three methods of finding the L. C. M. :

  • Division Method
  • Multiple Method
  • Prime Factorization Method

H. C. F. (Highest Common Factor):H. C. F. of two or more numbers is the greatest number that divides each of the given numbers.

Methods of Finding the H. C. F. :

LCM and HCF

\maltese{\underline{\textbf{\textsf{Solution:—}}}}

{\longrightarrow}{\tt{135 = 3 \times 3 \times 3 \times 5}} \\  \\ {\longrightarrow}{\tt{225 = 3 \times 3 \times 5 \times 5}}

For finding the HCF we have to match the numbers and common the numbers.

{\longrightarrow}{\tt{hcf = 3 \times 3 \times 5}} \\  \\ {\longrightarrow}{\tt{hcf = 45}}

For finding the LCM we have to take common numbers and remaining numbers too.

{\longrightarrow}{\tt{lcm = 3 \times 3 \times 5 \times 3 \times 5}} \\  \\ {\longrightarrow}{\tt{lcm = 675}}
