Answer:

First five composite number are

4,6,8, 9,10

LCM of 4,6,8, 9,10

 =  \frac{4,6,8, 9,10}{2 }   \\   = \frac{2,3,4, 9,5}{2}  \\  =  \frac{1,3,2, 9,5}{2} \\ =   \frac{1,3,1, 9,5}{3}  \\  =   \frac{1,1,1, 3,5}{3}  \\  =  \frac{1,1,1, 1,5}{5}   \\  = (1,1,1, 1,1)

= 2×2×2×3×3×5

= 360

Given : First five composite numbers.

To Find : LCM of first five composite numbers.

Solution:

composite numbers. are natural numbers which have atleast 3 factor.

Composite number have atleast one factor other than 1 and number itself

First 5 composite numbers are

4 , 6  , 8 , 9  , 10

LCM  - Least common multiplier of given numbers is the least number which is perfectly divisible by given numbers.

LCM = product of each factor  of highest power

4 = 2 * 2  = 2²

6 = 2 * 3  = 2¹ * 3¹

8 = 2 * 2 * 2  = 2³

9 = 3 * 3 = 3²

10 = 2 * 5 = 2¹ * 5¹

LCM =  2³ * 3² * 5¹

= 8 * 9 * 5

= 360

Hence  LCM of first five composite numbers  is 360
