In(I)
Using Pythagoras Theorem
x^2 = 6^2+8^2 = 36+64
x^2 = 100
x=√100 = 10 cm
In (ii)
(x/2)^2 = 13^2 - 12^2 = 5^2
Therefore,
(x/2)^2 = 5^2
x/2 = 5
x = 10 cm
Using Pythagoras Theorem
x^2 = 6^2+8^2 = 36+64
x^2 = 100
x=√100 = 10 cm
In (ii)
(x/2)^2 = 13^2 - 12^2 = 5^2
Therefore,
(x/2)^2 = 5^2
x/2 = 5
x = 10 cm
