Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

(i) m = 2/3, n = 3/2

(ii) m = 2/5, n = 1/2

(iii) m = 5/4, y = -1/3

To find:-

Find (m + n) ÷ (m – n) ?

Solution:-

I) Given that m = 2/3 and n = 3/2

m+n = (2/3)+(3/2)

LCM of 3 and 2 = 6

=> (4+9)/6

=> 13/6

m+n = 13/6

m-n = (2/3)-(3/2)

=> (4-9)/6

=> -5/6

m-n = -5/6

The value of (m + n) ÷ (m – n)

=> (13/6)÷(-5/6)

=> (13/6)/(-5/6)

=> (13/6)×(-6/5)

=> 13/-5

=> -13/5

(m + n) ÷ (m – n) = -13/5

ii) Given that m = 2/5 and n = 1/2

m+n = (2/5)+(1/2)

LCM of 5 and 2 = 10

=> (4+5)/10

=> 9/10

m+n = 9/10

m-n = (2/5)-(1/2)

=> (4-5)/10

=> -1/10

m-n = -1/10

The value of (m + n) ÷ (m – n)

=> (9/10)÷(-1/10)

=> (9/10)/(-1/10)

=> (9/10)×(-10/1)

=> 9/-1

=> -9

(m + n) ÷ (m – n) = -9

iii)Given that m = 5/4 and y = -1/3

m+n = (5/4)+(-1/3)

LCM of 4 and 3 = 12

=> (15-4)/12

=> 11/12

m+n = 11/12

m-n = (5/4)-(-1/3)

=> (15+4)/12

=> 19/12

m-n = 19/12

The value of (m + n) ÷ (m – n)

=> (11/12)÷(19/12)

=> (11/12)×(12/19)

=> 11/19

(m + n) ÷ (m – n) = 11/19

Answer:-

The value of (m + n) ÷ (m – n) of the following

I) -13/5

ii)-9

iii)11/19
