For a ,

Mean =(x1+x2+...xn)/n

n=no. of terms

mean=(4+10+8+10+3+15+8+6+8)/9

=72/9

=8

For Median,

step 1) Arrange the number in ascending order.

=3,4,6,8,8,8,10,10,15

Step 2) If the number of terms are odd then the middle term is median.

=3,4,6,8,8,8,10,10,15

Median=8

Step 3) If the number of terms are even then the find 2 middle terms and take an average of both. (See in another example)

Mode

the highest frequency no. is mode.

=3,4,6,8,8,8,10,10,15

here 8 appears 3 times so mode=8

For b,

12,10,8,2,4,4,8,9,8,7

Mean=7.2

Mode=8

Median=8

For c,

Mean=22.14

Mode=20

Median=20
