Find mean median mode and range of the following data 35,32,35,42,38,32,34

MEAN --
mean \: of \: ungrouped \: data \:  =  \\   \frac{sum \: of \: observations}{total \: number \: of \: observations}

Sum of Observations = 35+32+35+42+38+32+34

=> 248

Total number of observations = 7

mean \:  =  \frac{248}{7}  \\  \\  =  > 35.428

MEDIAN --

To find the median of an ungrouped data, first of all arrange the data into ascending order

=> 32,32,34,35,35,38,42

Here, no. of observations (n) = 7

As 7 is odd, therefore --

median = ( \frac{n + 1}{2} ) \\  \\  =  >  \frac{7 + 1}{2}  =  >  \frac{8}{2}  \\  \\  =  > 4th \: term =   > 35
So median = 35

Mode -- Most occuring value in the given data

Here, 35 and 32 have occured most of the time, Therefore either 35 or 32 can be the mode.

So, Mean = 35.428

Median = 35

Mode = 32 or 35

range = highest value - lowest value

= 42-32
