SOLUTION :

Given :

The raw data is 3, 4, 1, 5, 6, 4, 2, 4

Now,

To be found :

The Mean, Mode, Median

So,

Mean = average

\bf Mean= \frac{Sum\:\:of \:\:all\:\: numbers}{Number \:\:of \:\:observations}

So,    \bf Mean=\frac{(3+4+1+5+6+4+2+4)}{8}

\bf Mean=\frac{29}{8}

\bf Mean = 3.62

so, Mean = 3.62

Now,

Mode : The number which occur more number of times in the data.

So, from the given data 3, 4, 1, 5, 6, 4, 2, 4

4 occurs 3 times

Therefore, mode is 4

Now,

Median : The middle term.

First we have to arrange the given data in ascending and descending order.

In ascending order -  , 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 6

So,

\bf median = \frac{4+4}{2} =\frac{8}{2}=4

So, The median is 4.

Hence,

Mean = 3.62

Mode is 4

Median is 4

 \huge \underline \mathfrak {Solution:-}

3,4,1,5,6,4,2,4

Ascending order :- 1,2,3,4,4,4,5,6

Mean = Sum of all observations/Total number of observations

 =  \frac{1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 6}{8}  \\  \\  =  \frac{29}{8}  \\  \\  = 3.625

Total number of terms = 8 (even)

Median =1/2 ( 4th + 5th term)

 =  \frac{1}{2} (4 + 4) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 4  \times 2 \\  \\  = 4

So, the median is 4.

Now, we have to find out the mode.

4 comes maximum number of times.

Therefore , Mode = 4.
