Find median if mode and mean of the data is 8 and 9 ?

Answer:

We know that

 Mode = 3 (Median) - 2(Mean)

Median = [ Mode +2 × mean] /3

Median = [ 8 +2 × 9] /3 = (8+18)/3=26/3

Median = 2×mean+mode/3

Given mode = 8 & mean =9

Median =2×9+8 /3

=18+8/3

=26/3

=8.333333.....
