Missing term is :

• Given sequence :

12 , 15 , 27, 54 , 90 , ?

• 12 ---> 15

15 - 12 = 3×1

• 15 ----> 27

27 - 15 = 12 = 3×4

• 27 ---> 54

54 - 27 = 27 = 3×9

• 54 ---> 90

90 - 54 = 36 = 3×12

• New sequence is

1, 4, 9, 12, ?

4-1 = 3, 9-4 = 5, 12-9 = 3

• Now we have to find a number whose difference with 12 is 5

i.e 17 - 12 = 5

•Sequence will be 1, 4, 9, 12, 17

• For given sequence difference between 90 and missing term will be,

3×17 = 51

°•° ? - 90 = 51

? = 90 + 51 = 141

• Hence missing term is 141
