Step-by-step explanation:

Mode is referred to the number which occurs most frequently in a data.

Median is the referred to the number which comes exactly in the middle of data, when data is arranged in an array (in ascending or descending order).

Array of the data in question:-

11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 13, 14, 17, 23.

By arranging the data, you can see that the number which occurred most frequently is 13.

so mode =13

For finding median:-

Number of terms in the data= 9 (odd)

and since median = [(number of terms +1)/2]th term,

when number of terms is odd.

thus, median = [(9+1)/2]th

Median = [10/2]

Median = 5th

so median = 13

I hope it helped you!!
