Nitrogen=1 Hydrogen=3

N=14.01 × 1 = 14.01

H=1.01 × 3 = 3.03

=14.01 + 3.03

=17.04

Therefore the molecular weight of NH3 is 17.04

Add the atomic masses in the compound.

NH3=at.mass of N+at.mass of hydrogen

=14+1*3
=14+3
=17g
