Given the equation: 2xˆ2–5x+6=0
Comparing it with the general form of quadratic equation: axˆ2+bx+c=0
This gives us: a=2, b=-5 and c=6.
Now, discriminant D=bˆ2–4ac
Substituting the values we get,
D=(−5)ˆ2−4.2.6
=>D=25−48=−23
Since D < 0, hence the roots are not real.(i.e. it has complex roots)
